Global66 is a Latin American fintech positioning itself as a regional neobank, offering multi-currency wallets, low-cost international transfers and remittances to over 80 destinations. As the company scaled, its customer onboarding was fully manual—requiring emailed ID requests and manual KYC—which became unsustainable and exposed the business to operational bottlenecks and fraud risk.

In 2020 Global66 implemented Jumio’s AI- and biometrics-driven identity verification to automate KYC: customers upload an ID and a selfie, and Jumio runs ID authenticity, similarity and liveness checks to deliver a definitive verification in seconds.
