UPS’s X‑Port Challenge is an annual Shark‑Tank style pitch-off run to promote small businesses and startups and connect them with UPS’s international services. For the 2017 event, UPS faced slow, paper‑based judging processes—manual score tallying, delays announcing winners, limited flexibility for judges, and capacity constraints—and engaged Judgify’s online judging platform to replace paper forms and streamline evaluation.

Judgify implemented an end‑to‑end automated judging solution—online scoring, remote judge access, and automatic score tallying—allowing judges to review and score entries from anywhere. The platform imported 14 applications and cut pre‑pitch judging from about 48 hours to 1 hour, instantly identified the eight top entries, eliminated paper and manual tallying, increased applicant processing capacity and transparency, and delivered measurable labor and cost savings for UPS.
