Preventing Automated Abuse with Arkose Labs and Jscrambler

Arkose Labs, a provider of bot mitigation technology, faced the challenge of preventing sophisticated automated abuse attacks, such as account takeovers and credential stuffing. These automated attacks were capable of bypassing other security solutions. To protect its own client-side code from being reverse-engineered and circumvented by attackers, Arkose Labs turned to the client-side protection solution from Jscrambler.

Jscrambler implemented its advanced code obfuscation and protection features, including code locking and self-defending capabilities, to make Arkose Labs' technology tamper-proof. This solution gave the code polymorphic behavior, meaning each build was unique, which drove up the cost of attacks and rendered them uneconomical. The results were highly effective; after nearly two years of using Jscrambler, no attacker had successfully reverse-engineered Arkose Labs' code, even in highly sophisticated attack scenarios.
