Jscape MFT Server moves modified files in one trigger with JSCAPE

The customer, Jscape MFT Server, needed a way to automate the management of a daily bank master file upload. Their challenge was to ensure the file was only overwritten if it had been genuinely modified, preventing unnecessary replacement with an identical file and requiring a reliable method to compare file modification times.

JSCAPE implemented a solution using a custom trigger function called IsFileNewer within their MFT Server platform. This function compared the modification time of the newly uploaded file against the existing one. If the file was newer, an automated "Move File" action would overwrite the master file; if not, it could be moved to a backup folder. This automated process ensured data integrity and streamlined the customer's file management workflow without requiring manual intervention.
