A JSCAPE Case Study
JSCAPE worked with a user of their Jscape MFT Server product who faced a challenge with their automated file transfer processes. The customer's intention was to upload every new file arriving in a monitored directory to a trading partner. However, by pairing a regex-type trigger action with a directory monitor event, their setup caused all matching files in the directory to be uploaded each time a new file was added, resulting in the trading partner receiving duplicate files.
The solution implemented by JSCAPE was to use non-regex type trigger actions instead. By configuring actions like Trading Partner File Upload to use the %LocalPath% variable, the system would act only upon the specific file that triggered the event. This ensured that every new file was uploaded exactly once, eliminating duplicate transfers and achieving the customer's goal of reliable, automated uploads for all incoming files.
