How Joyride and Today Power Marshall University’s E-Bike Sharing Program

Marshall University, a large institution with a 114-acre campus, faced mobility challenges and sought to reduce car reliance while meeting environmental targets. The university collaborated with vendor Joyride and operator Today to implement a modern e-bike sharing solution powered by Joyride's software platform.

The solution involved deploying 60 e-bikes across six hubs, managed by Joyride's technology for GPS tracking, automated rentals, and fleet management. This implementation by Joyride yielded significant results, including over 7,000 rides and more than 1,000 active users in the first five months, with fewer than 10% of rides requiring support. The program successfully provided a free, sustainable transportation alternative for the campus community.
