Genesis, an energy company in New Zealand with over 1,000 employees, wanted a better way to gather employee feedback than its once-a-year engagement survey. Working with Joyous, Genesis needed a solution that could provide more regular, contextual feedback without relying on anonymous responses, especially as lockdown made internal communication more important than ever.

Joyous helped Genesis launch open employee feedback alongside four Covid-19 check-in questions, enabling two-way communication across the organisation. In the first seven hours, more than 62% of employees were engaged and responding, and over 130 leaders joined the launch session. Genesis reported more empathetic leader responses, more action on individual needs, and clearer visibility into team and organisation-wide themes.
