Tyco Integrated Security Tracks Over 9,000 Projects Using Journyx

Tyco Integrated Security, a long-established provider of business security solutions, needed better visibility into engineering labor and overhead spend to protect project profitability and support future planning. To get customized reports on vacations, training, engineering hours by project and overall allocation of engineering resources, Tyco turned to Journyx for time-tracking and reporting capabilities.

Journyx was implemented across the global organization with roughly 1,200 employees logging time and the Operations group using the system to track customers, products, sales and more; with modest modifications Journyx now generates the customized reports Tyco required and the Operations division tracks over 9,000 projects. As a result, Journyx enables Tyco to monitor engineering hours, allocate labor costs between business units, support billing and amortization reporting, assess schedules and staffing, calculate project costs post‑mortem, and allocate IT and operating expenses back to product divisions.
