Tides, a nonprofit founded in 1976 that manages extensive grantmaking and nonprofit services, needed a reliable way to capture and measure its cost-to-serve so it could manage staff time, internal allocations, and the sustainability of its service model. To address that challenge, Tides adopted Journyx Timesheet, Journyx’s timesheet and expense management solution, to track time across clients, services, and projects.
Journyx Timesheet provided Tides with detailed time and cost analytics used for internal cost allocations, external invoicing, IT project management, and business decision-making. As a result, Journyx helped Tides gain “real, applicable data” and a broader awareness of how staff time is spent, enabling improved client service, testing of new pricing models, measurement of ROI, and better alignment of operations and financial data with impact goals.
