CAM Communications, an Engineering, Furnish and Installation (EF&I) services unit now part of MasTec Network Solutions, faced widespread timesheet challenges: remote technicians submitted handwritten, illegible timesheets, often charged time to incorrect or nonexistent projects (they ran up to 500 active projects), and payroll required manual, error-prone data entry. To centralize time capture and improve project billing accuracy, they selected Journyx’s web-based time-tracking solution.
Journyx deployed an easy-to-use web time entry and approval system so technicians could record time from anywhere, managers could approve and run/export project reports, and data could be imported into other systems. The result was smoother payroll—employees paid correctly and on time—with significantly fewer errors and better on-time timesheet submission; CAM Communications grew Journyx usage from 160 to over 500 users over seven years.
