How the Cincinnati Zoo named its new hippo using Jotform

The Cincinnati Zoo needed a way to engage fans worldwide in naming Fiona’s new baby hippo and manage an overwhelming response from the public. Using Jotform, the zoo collected name suggestions through an online form and gathered input from hippo fans across the globe.

Jotform helped the Cincinnati Zoo streamline the process by collecting 90,000 name submissions in just two days, then enabling a second voting form that drew 200,000 votes. After filtering and reviewing the submissions, the zoo narrowed the choices to Fritz and Ferguson, with Fritz winning 56% of the vote and the new hippo introduced on The TODAY Show.
