How CiviLaw.Tech uses Jotform Enterprise to bridge the justice gap

CiviLaw.Tech, a legal tech organization founded by Ayyoub Ajmi, set out to close the justice gap by simplifying access to protection orders for people facing domestic abuse, sexual assault, and harassment. Working with Jotform Enterprise, the team needed a secure, easier-to-use way to replace lengthy paper court packets that were difficult for self-represented litigants to understand and complete, especially during COVID-19.

Using Jotform Enterprise, CiviLaw.Tech built the Kansas Protection Order Portal in under two months, creating a guided online interview with conditional logic, Smart PDF Forms, e-signatures, translation tools, and secure data handling. The result was a mobile-friendly system that generates typed, court-ready petitions accepted 100% of the time, with 62% of Kansas petitions now filed through the platform. Jotform Enterprise also helped automate retention and support secure, fast service for vulnerable users.
