Clifford Chance, a multinational law firm, faced the challenge of engaging its summer law clerks in a meaningful virtual program during the pandemic. The firm wanted to embed technology more deeply by training future attorneys in legal design thinking and provide them with future skills. The goal was to find a way to inspire and empower the clerks to deliver legaltech solutions for clients and internal use.
Using Josef's no-code automation software, the firm implemented its Automation Academy. This involved a series of virtual workshops where the clerks learned to build bots, culminating in a Demo Day. The results were highly positive, with 93% of participants feeling supported. The program produced launch-ready bots for both internal efficiency and for pro bono partners, successfully upskilling the next generation of lawyers while delivering real-world outcomes.
