Ifficient, a technology-based interactive marketing company that connects prospective students with more than 200 schools via its lead site degreechemistry.com and a call center, faced a major compliance challenge after October 2013 TCPA updates. With high-profile settlements like Capital One’s $75.5 million payout as context, Ifficient needed a watertight way to prove prior express consent for autodialing mobile numbers and avoid costly litigation.
To solve this, Ifficient created roughly 700 TCPA disclosure variations to match each school’s phrasing and implemented Jornaya’s TCPA Guardian with Visual Playback, which timestamps and securely records every consumer action on lead forms. The combined approach provides court-ready proof of consent, gives the company and its clients greater confidence against fraudulent claims, and acts as an insurance-like buffer against TCPA lawsuits.
