The Big Salad - Customer Case Study

The Big Salad, founded in 2007 by CEO John, is a franchise-driven salad chain that prioritized operational excellence but found paper training materials and laminated checklists were not being used consistently across locations. The company needed a way to channel and update company information to all franchisees and create better accountability than paper could provide.

In 2015 The Big Salad implemented Jolt, a centralized digital task and training system that automated processes like date code labeling and put procedures in the palm of employees’ hands. The result: training time dropped by a full day, inaccurate label hold times were eliminated, fewer corrections and re-trains were required, and overall operational efficiency and brand consistency improved.
