Amazon Prime Day partnered with Subtext, using its SMS campaign platform to optimize a deal-hunting e-commerce text strategy for Prime Day affiliate links. The challenge was to better engage a loyal audience and drive incremental revenue by promoting exclusive deals through text messaging.
Subtext targeted the client’s SMS subscribers with 22 texts over 5 days featuring Prime Day deals across categories like gaming, mobile, kitchen, and home goods. The campaign generated a 15% CTR overall, with most texts at 10%+ CTR and top performers reaching 20%–32%; it also helped drive purchases, with five of the top 25 most purchased Prime Day items promoted through Subtext.
