The Cherish Center, a nonprofit in Noblesville, Indiana that provides education and advocacy for children affected by abuse and neglect, needed a better way to monitor forensic interviews and protect children and staff. Its old DVR system was difficult to use, often failed to record interviews properly, and didn’t provide enough storage or redundancy. The Cherish Center turned to Johnson Controls for a modern surveillance solution.

Johnson Controls helped implement an exacqVision-based system with an exacqVision A-Series IP camera server, exacqVision Professional VMS software, Axis IP cameras, and audio kits. The new solution expanded video storage, improved image detail for reviewing children’s expressions, and simplified searching and review, cutting video review time by 50%. It also enabled simultaneous interviews in both rooms, improved safety monitoring, and gave the organization a scalable platform for future expansion.
