Leicester City Football Club, home to the King Power Stadium, needed to replace its inflexible and increasingly unsustainable analogue surveillance setup with a modern solution that could better support crowd security and future stadium upgrades. Johnson Controls implemented a future-proof IP CCTV solution with HD megapixel and Full HD cameras, using existing coaxial cabling where possible to control costs. The system improved video quality, enabled secure access and easier incident tracking, and was installed in just six weeks after extensive planning. The impact was immediate: the first match using the system resulted in five arrests, and the club also benefited from improved safety compliance, insurance support, and more effective crowd control.
