Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center - Customer Case Study

Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, a not-for-profit health system in Central Florida, needed a security platform that could scale with ongoing growth across its 849-bed hospital and multiple other sites. Working with Johnson Controls, the organization sought to integrate existing video surveillance, visitor management, internal IT systems, and specialized tools into a more flexible access control and security backbone, using the C•CURE 9000 Security and Event Management System and iSTAR Door Controllers.

Johnson Controls, through its Tyco Security Products solutions, delivered C•CURE 9000 with iSTAR door controllers to unify access control, alarms, and video across the health system. The rollout enabled real-time event management, facility-wide or area-based lockdowns, and easier sharing of perimeter video with law enforcement. The conversion to iSTAR controllers took less than four weeks, initially covered 65 panels, and improved data accuracy with badged-user updates every two hours and instant termination recording.
