Johnson Controls Optimizes Building Performance in Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute

Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute (PSRI), a leading medical institute in South Delhi, needed to replace an inefficient centralized air conditioning system that was driving up electricity usage and struggling to handle rising cooling loads. Johnson Controls was brought in to assess the plant and plan a retrofit using a more efficient HVAC solution.

Johnson Controls implemented a complete retrofit with two YORK® water-cooled screw chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related electrical and water treatment upgrades. The new system cut electricity consumption by more than 50%, saving about USD 70,000 annually, with a projected payback of 25 months, while also freeing up 450 square feet for future expansion and improving comfort for patients and staff.
