A Johnson Controls Case Study
HMRC, the UK government’s non-ministerial department, needed a cost-effective way to strengthen fire and security management across its sites while maintaining strict enhanced security screening and training for personnel working on site. Johnson Controls, referenced in the case study as Tyco, provided integrated fire and security services including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, monitoring, extinguishers, hose reels, and high sensitivity smoke detection.
Johnson Controls assigned multi-disciplined engineers to HMRC properties and managed all screening procedures, training certification, and quarterly reporting through a dedicated account manager. The solution improved service delivery, reduced disruption, supported tighter security compliance, and helped HMRC extend the contract to additional disciplines while also inviting Johnson Controls to tender for further sites.
