A Johnson Controls Case Study
Fiserv Forum, the new home of the Milwaukee Bucks, needed to create a world-class sports and entertainment experience that could compete with staying at home while also supporting building operations, safety, and future growth. To meet that challenge, Johnson Controls was brought in as the technology contractor, helping design and manage the arena’s network, AV, security, and building systems.
Johnson Controls implemented a future-ready infrastructure with 258 miles of fiber and copper cabling, Wi-Fi and DAS coverage for up to 17,500 basketball fans and 18,000 concertgoers, more than 420 monitored doors, 365+ IP cameras, and an integrated Metasys building automation system. The solution improved connectivity, safety, comfort, and operational efficiency while reducing duplication, change orders, and commissioning time. It also enabled flexible seating with innovative handrail antennas and delivered 20GB/second internet capacity and 72TB of data transfer per game.
