Fire Security Ltd. - Customer Case Study

Translink, Northern Ireland’s public transport provider, needed a secure way to protect its new £11.4 million Belfast train cleaning facility and control access to sensitive areas, including the rail workshop, offices, driver facilities, and train wash equipment. The company worked with Johnson Controls and Fire Security Ltd. to implement CEM’s webEntry access control system.

Johnson Controls, through CEM’s webEntry solution, provided browser-based access control for up to 32 doors, with proximity card entry, real-time event monitoring, remote gate control, and time-zone permissions for shift-based access. The system helped Translink secure its 170m-long facility, manage temporary contractor access, and monitor train arrivals and shutter movement, while remaining easy to expand for future sites and scaling up to CEM AC2000 if needed.
