Caola Co. helped the New Jersey Department of Transportation address inconsistent security across its facilities, where some locations used cards and others relied on easily replicated keys. The DOT needed a more consistent, keyless access control approach for its headquarters and satellite offices, and Caola Co. recommended Kantech’s Windows-based access control system.

Caola Co. implemented the Kantech system at Cherry Hill, Roxbury, and Freehold, giving the DOT multi-site, card-based access control with centralized management and flexible security settings. The result was stronger control over employee access, easier deactivation of cards when staff left, reduced wear and tear from proximity cards, and better protection of records and restricted areas across nearly 400 users at the satellite facilities.
