A Johnson Controls Case Study
Arena Corinthians Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil, needed to prepare for the 2014 World Cup with top-tier comfort, safety, and operational control for nearly 64,000 spectators and global attention. Johnson Controls helped meet this challenge by providing integrated building and security technologies, including fire detection and prevention, building automation, telecommunications, structured cabling, CCTV, sound and multimedia, access control, and lighting control.
Johnson Controls implemented a fully integrated stadium solution that included 3,140 fire detectors, more than 37 miles of cables, over 2,900 loudspeakers, 271+ HD surveillance cameras, and P2000 security management for selective access to more than 110 doors. The venue’s operations were monitored in real time from a Venue Operation Center, helping create a safer, more comfortable, and more efficiently managed fan experience during the World Cup and beyond.
