Safety Works, a joint venture of MSA and MCR Safety that supplies gloves, garments and safety products to the North American retail market, struggled with a rudimentary forecasting process based on simple averages that missed seasonality and produced chronic inventory imbalances. To build a disciplined planning capability they turned to John Galt Solutions and its ForecastX Wizard forecasting tool.

John Galt Solutions implemented the ForecastX Wizard (an Excel-based statistical forecasting tool) and delivered two days of training, enabling Safety Works to capture demand patterns, rebalance inventory and improve purchasing decisions. The project produced measurable results: $1.5 million in inventory savings, stronger supplier relationships, more accurate purchasing and optimized safety stock, with planners freed to focus on higher-value work.
