Repositioning the UK’s largest home furniture specialist in a way that adds cachet to the brand… and sells more product

Harveys, the UK’s largest home furniture specialist with more than 150 stores and an early e‑commerce leader, needed to reposition its brand to reach a broader audience and be seen as a credible source of interior inspiration as well as a retail solution. John Brown Media was brought in to design a content‑led strategy and multi‑channel programme using magazine publishing, web development, social and video content, AR-enabled print, POS, photography and wider brand strategy.

John Brown Media launched the Real Living programme — a high‑production print and digital magazine (with Blippar AR features) plus an interactive microsite and supporting social/in‑store content — to showcase trends and link inspiration directly to products. The microsite received 117,576 views in its launch month, won Woman’s Weekly Website of the Week, improved SEO and captured valuable customer data, while the AR magazine drove engagement and direct links to Harveys product pages, strengthening the brand and supporting increased online and in‑store sales.
