A John Brown Media Case Study

Preview of the RBS Case Study

An interactive financial education programme for students and teachers

RBS needed a curriculum-linked financial education programme to teach seven- to 11-year-olds about money and to give teachers easy-to-integrate resources aligned with the National Curriculum (with a Scottish-branded version). John Brown Media delivered the Pocket Money programme as website content, magazine and app materials, designed with the right tone and navigation for pupils and teachers.

John Brown Media built four simple sections with 32 downloadable lesson plans at launch (expanding to 44), added downloadable spreadsheets for hands-on learning, and integrated the teachers’ and kids’ sites. The Pocket Money site achieved over 50,000 unique users in one year, 180,000 page views, more than 21,000 PDF downloads, and earned (and had renewed) the PFEG Quality Mark — demonstrating clear reach and measurable impact.
