Case Study: Pets At Home achieves a clear, unified kids’ brand identity and boosted family engagement with John Brown Media

A John Brown Media Case Study

Preview of the Pets At Home Case Study

A streamlined kids’ communication programme to establish a clear brand identity for children and families

Pets At Home engaged John Brown Media to relaunch and unify their kids’ communications. Their existing multi‑faceted provision—workshops, in‑store sessions, educational visits and a children’s section in the My VIP magazine—lacked a consistent identity, so John Brown Media was asked to provide brand development, web build and content, an educational app, print and in‑store materials to create a clear, family‑friendly presence.

John Brown Media created the My Pet Pals identity and formal brand guidelines, applied them across My VIP, a new website, in‑store signage, revamped Kids Holiday Activity Club packs, lesson plans and the My Pet Pals Academy quiz app. The app was featured by The Sun as “App of the Day,” introducing the programme to 2.1M readers, and Pets At Home says the new approach has transformed how they engage children about pet welfare.
