Coutts, the private bank and wealth manager, needed its annual economic update to cut through to a highly discerning global client base and make its investment strategy more accessible. In 2013 Coutts engaged John Brown Media (design services) to rethink the report’s look and feel so it would maintain credibility while improving clarity and engagement across international markets.
John Brown Media delivered a revitalised design with strong graphic treatments, prescient imagery and layouts that balance accessibility and authority, plus translated editions (German, Russian, traditional and simplified Chinese) and digital PDFs for e‑distribution. The publication reached 60,000 top Coutts clients, prompted an additional 40,000 UK copies to be ordered, generated ongoing requests from wealth managers and higher client retention of the report — clear evidence of increased engagement driven by John Brown Media’s work.
