A JobRouter Case Study
Schott Tubing, the glass tubing business unit of Schott, needed to retire an IBM Notes environment and migrate dozens of manually programmed approval workflows and databases to Microsoft. Faced with requirements for a system-independent, easy-to-manage solution that IT and users could control, Schott Tubing evaluated Nintex and the JobRouter digital process automation platform and chose JobRouter to replace complex Notes processes while integrating with Outlook and Microsoft services.
JobRouter was deployed (with ProComp support) to digitize approvals, sample requests, GMP 4‑M change management, raw material certificate handling and price‑list updates, enabling Schott Tubing’s IT team to build and modify processes themselves. The JobRouter platform automated a mailbox workflow that notifies three departments 4–5 times daily and provides audit‑proof indexing, cut sample lead time in half to two days, reduced development of a two‑step approval to about 3–4 days, and increased transparency, speed and scalability across sites.
