From Idea to Prototype, Product Design Processes Streamlined with Digital Process Automation

Spheros, a global leader in bus air‑conditioning and control technology, faced increasingly complex, manual Concept Design Production (CDP) and product modification processes that were managed with Excel sheets, printing/scanning and email handoffs. The biggest challenges were lengthy correction loops, lack of transparent, versioned documentation and the need to integrate workflows with ERP systems (notably SAP) across multiple worldwide sites. To address this, Spheros turned to the JobRouter digitization platform.

JobRouter implemented a digitized CDP workflow with ERP interfaces (including SAP), role‑based access, centralized project overviews, automated goods requests/orders and a reversible workflow for post‑processing, while archiving revision history. The result: about 1,000 process instances per year are now visible at any time, unnecessary correction loops have been reduced, processing times have fallen significantly, and global collaboration and scalability have improved — outcomes Spheros attributes directly to JobRouter.
