How KC Power Clean Turned a Costly Mistake into a Booming Service Business

KC Power Clean is a 14-year-old exterior cleaning business in Brea, California founded by Kristopher Cook after a college paint-spill incident left him facing a large cleanup bill and drove him into window washing to repay his dad. What began as one man with a ladder and squeegee grew into a company serving contractors, property managers and residential clients, but brought challenges in scaling operations, marketing to multiple buyer types, and managing customer feedback and scheduling.

To solve this, KC Power Clean combined specialized rigs (hot-water power washing plus media blasting), a low-cost “foot-in-the-door” demo approach, and a digital stack — Google AdWords and Instagram for lead generation and Jobber for quoting, scheduling and client follow-up. The result: higher lead conversion, streamlined office work (Jobber’s follow-up feature helped eliminate a headcount), and steady growth to a 12-person team with diversified, repeatable revenue streams.
