KFC Australia, which operates around 150 directly managed restaurants and supports hundreds more through franchisees, struggled with meeting-room contention and poor visibility of schedules for staff who aren’t at desks. To address this, KFC paired Office 365 with Joan Meeting Room Assistant (hosted on premises) to manage 20 meeting rooms and other shared spaces like the Product Theatre and Test Kitchen.
Joan delivered wall-mounted scheduling displays tied to KFC’s calendars, making bookings visible and easy to follow. As a result, KFC reports much less meeting-room contention, noticeably fewer people waiting outside rooms, and simpler coordination for non-desk teams; Joan’s solution is straightforward to install and now also manages kitchen and team schedules beyond traditional meeting rooms.
