A Joan Case Study
Binghamton University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences needed a better way to manage medical simulation scheduling. Before moving into a new building, the team relied on printed door schedules and manual oversight, which created time-consuming logistics, risked confidentiality, and made it hard for students to know exactly when and where to enter.
Joan provided the solution with room booking displays outside each simulation alcove, synced with Google Calendar. With Joan, students simply wait until their name appears on screen, helping them enter the right room at the right time while preserving case secrecy and reducing stress for both students and faculty. The result was a simpler, more reliable workflow that let Binghamton University run simulations more smoothly and with one less person managing the process.
