Case Study: OLEDWorks achieves the first OLED lighting panel manufactured in the US with JMP

Well-designed experiments deliver results for an OLED pioneer

OLEDWorks, a leading manufacturer of OLED light engines and panels, faced the challenge of refining an extremely delicate, high-precision production process to keep pace in a rapidly emerging market. The company also needed to make sense of a large volume of test data from hundreds of devices produced each day. JMP statistical discovery software was used to support design of experiments and data analysis for this work.

JMP helped OLEDWorks optimize process steps, analyze multivariate data, and model trade-offs such as color point, efficacy, lifetime, and defect risk. The result was a more efficient development process, with data analysis taking about half the time in some cases and fewer wasted experimental runs. Most notably, JMP enabled OLEDWorks to produce the first OLED lighting panel manufactured in the US.
