A JMP Case Study
USDA researchers needed a more efficient way for molecular biologists and statisticians to collaborate on projects spanning crop yields, environmental issues, and nutrition. Their previous approach involved juggling multiple software tools, which was slow and not well suited to the large data sets used in research. JMP Genomics was brought in to help streamline this work.
JMP implemented JMP Genomics from SAS to provide powerful analysis for huge microarray and genetics data sets, along with point-and-click visualization that non-statisticians could easily use. USDA purchased 30 licenses and began using the software across a 25-state research network, improving workflow and enabling faster gene screening and breeding decisions.
