Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, based in Milan, needed a better way to understand the origins and interconnectedness of diseases in older adults, including the effects of medications. The research team used JMP to support clinical trials, surveys of people age 80+, and analysis of very large health and prescription databases.

With JMP, Mario Negri streamlined data table building, analysis, and reporting across millions of rows, helping researchers spot trends, data issues, and relationships more quickly. JMP also supported studies that led to three publications, including findings that mild-grade anemia was strongly associated with later hospitalization and mortality, while enabling the team to work more effectively with massive datasets.
