A JMP Case Study
Lynred, a French infrared technology leader serving aerospace, defense, commercial, and space markets, faced a major challenge in validating highly specialized products built in very small sample sizes. Because its detectors often require costly prototyping and testing, Lynred needed robust statistical methods to support R&D decisions, prove reliability, and manage performance risks in extreme environments. JMP and JMP Pro were used to help address these challenges.
With JMP, Lynred’s engineers improved modeling, visualization, and reliability analysis from R&D through production, including optimizing a low-yield thermal process with Functional Data Explorer and clustering. The results included faster issue detection, better process efficiency, and stronger statistical confidence in product performance. JMP helped Lynred deliver more than 70 fit-for-purpose designs and several dozen flight models for major missions such as Sentinel 2, Tropomi, Hayabusa 2, and ExoMars.
