A JMP Case Study
The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation was working to help scientists better understand and protect coral reefs, which are under severe threat from climate change and other human pressures. The challenge was making sense of complex, global reef data well enough to identify which reefs are most vulnerable or resilient, and to prioritize conservation efforts. JMP statistical discovery software was used to support this data-driven research.
JMP helped the foundation’s researchers and collaborators build robust predictive models, analyze large field data sets, and test model accuracy more efficiently in-house. As a result, they gained deeper insights from the same data, reduced dependence on external statisticians, and improved collaboration and data transparency through interactive visualizations and JMP Public, helping advance coral reef conservation efforts.
