A JMP Case Study
The City of Durham needed a better way to monitor Falls Lake, a critical drinking-water source for about half a million people, and manage the huge volumes of water-quality data tied to risks like algae growth, low oxygen, and phosphorus spikes. Using JMP statistical discovery software, the team could turn thousands of measurements into clear, easy-to-understand visuals for tracking the lake’s health.
JMP helped the City of Durham gather, analyze, interpret, and share lake-monitoring data through simple graphs, partitioning tools, and the interactive Graph Builder. The result was faster analysis and clearer communication of findings, with water resources engineers able to spot issues, explain trends, and notify officials more effectively using concise visual insights.
