A JMP Case Study
Charlotte Rescue Mission, a nonprofit providing shelter and support services in Charlotte, needed a smarter way to improve fundraising results as competition for charitable dollars increased. Using JMP Pro, the team, led by Mass Marketing Manager Tim Troutman, set out to make direct-mail campaigns more targeted and cost-effective with better donor analysis and predictive modeling.
JMP implemented tools such as bootstrap forests, boosted trees, logistic regression, and geo-mapping to identify which donors were most likely to respond and where they were concentrated. As a result, Charlotte Rescue Mission increased direct-mail responses by nearly 50%, saved time on analysis, and improved donor targeting and relationship-building.
