A JMP Case Study
The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania needed a way to teach business statistics and data analysis to MBA students with widely different backgrounds and levels of experience. JMP helped address this challenge with its statistical discovery software, giving students a hands-on way to learn core and advanced analytics on real-world business problems.
Using JMP, Wharton integrated interactive graphics, data manipulation, and diagnostic tools into its statistics courses, helping students work through large, messy data sets and more advanced methods like classification trees. The result was that Wharton MBAs graduated with stronger analytics and software skills, and JMP also proved valuable in research by helping analyze and visualize a model built on roughly 3 million observations.
