Case Study: Menarini cuts pharmaceutical stability testing from 6 months to 30 days with JMP

A JMP Case Study

Preview of the Menarini Case Study

Italian drug manufacturer Menarini relies on JMP to test its existing products and implement continuous improvement measures efficiently and within the mandated regulatory framework

Menarini, the Italian drug manufacturer, needed a way to design high-quality pharmaceutical experiments that could identify product degradation over time and under different storage conditions while staying within strict ICH regulatory requirements. The company used JMP to support its design of experiments and data analysis for formulation development and stability testing.

Using JMP’s modeling and data visualization tools, Menarini streamlined stability studies and compared predicted results against actual batch data to select more stable formulations. The biggest measurable impact was reducing shelf-life testing from the usual six months or more to as little as 30 days, while still documenting regulatory compliance and improving product efficiency.
