Case Study: Samson Rope achieves continuous improvement and better quality control with JMP

A JMP Case Study

Preview of the Samson Rope Case Study

How to reinvent the wheel – or something even older

Samson Rope, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-performance ropes, needed to grow market share in a more competitive global industry while differentiating itself beyond being just a commodity producer. To support new product development and quality improvement, Samson Rope turned to JMP software from SAS to help test designs, analyze complex manufacturing data, and better understand its processes.

Using JMP, Samson Rope applied design of experiments and statistical modeling to reduce testing runs, lower experimentation costs, and improve confidence in product quality without destroying as much material. JMP also helped create a culture change across the organization, enabling engineers, supervisors, and operators to make more data-driven decisions and contribute to continuous improvement.
