A JMP Case Study

Equipping business students with competencies valued by today’s organizations

The University of Connecticut School of Business needed to equip students with the analytics skills employers demand, as business data and data-driven decision making became increasingly central to success. To help address this challenge, the school adopted JMP statistical software, along with a full suite of SAS tools, in its business analytics curriculum and GE-sponsored edgelab.

JMP helped the University of Connecticut make analytics more accessible and practical for students, reducing the need for heavy coding while enabling advanced methods like decision trees, clustering, and regression. As a result, students now work with the same tools used in industry, gain hands-on experience on real business problems, and are better prepared to create immediate value for employers.
