CEA Marcoule, part of France’s Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, faced the challenge of developing safer ways to condition and dispose of hazardous radioactive waste while keeping nuclear glass-formulation research efficient and cost-effective. R&D scientist Damien Perret and his team used JMP to analyze historical data, design experiments, and build predictive models for vitrification and glass composition.

Using JMP’s data preparation, visualization, Mixture Design, and statistical modeling tools, CEA Marcoule streamlined its research process and reduced the number of costly test runs needed. JMP helped scientists process more information faster and at lower cost, freeing effort for other initiatives while improving insight into glass performance and vitrification outcomes.
