Case Study: Syngenta achieves greater efficiency and data-driven innovation with JMP

A JMP Case Study

Preview of the Syngenta Case Study

Biotechnology giant Syngenta brings science to the age-old art of agronomy with cutting-edge statistical methods and sustainable technologies

Syngenta, a global agribusiness and crop science leader, needed to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize products by spreading statistical methods across its R&D and production centers worldwide. The company also wanted to move teams away from intuition-based decisions and toward more data-driven experimentation and quality control. JMP was used as the analytical tool supporting this effort.

JMP helped Syngenta implement design of experiments, process analytics, and compelling data visualizations to gain buy-in from local managers and production teams. At Jealott’s Hill, JMP supported formulation robotics so scientists could evaluate hundreds of agrochemical formulations per day instead of just two or three samples, while also improving image analysis and decision-making. Across the business, JMP helped Syngenta build better models, improve safety, quality, and efficiency, and support more sustainable crop science innovation.
