A JMP Case Study
The University of Oregon needed a way to help physics, chemistry, and engineering students move from academia into applied science careers with stronger industry-ready skills. To address that challenge, the university added a design of experiments (DOE) course using JMP software through its Master’s Industrial Internship Program, giving students hands-on experience with tools and methods used by employers.
JMP helped the University of Oregon build a more career-focused curriculum and better prepare students for internships and jobs in industry. The results were strong: 98% of students in the program secured successful industry or government lab internships, 90% of participants were employed within three months of earning their master’s, and the program supported more than $11 million in funding since 2012.
