A Government Billing System from Scratch by Card Access Services

Card Access Services built a government billing system for the Brunei Government, which needed a new platform from scratch with no clear final requirements at the start. The challenge was to support many operations beyond payments and provide a very user-friendly web interface so people across Brunei could use it easily.

Using Jmix, Card Access Services developed and launched the system in February 2020, adapting quickly as requirements changed and saving significant development time. The solution digitized the country’s payment process for services such as electricity, water, registrations, licenses, and art gallery tickets, while also helping reduce financial losses and the need for large debt recovery efforts.
